Ok, this is a peak at what's going on in the front yard. Still a work in progress.

front yard mini garden

time to start thinking about what my front yard should look like. The front yard tree is going to be removed soon, yay! I'm finally going to be able to beautify my front yard.
my front yard is a total mess at the moment, see? i've got to remove all of the scalloped red brick edging, yuck!

lighting & mailboxes

i've been searching for the right solar powered wall sconces for my front yard/garage area. Why solar powered? 1. i've got to save energy and $$ 2. No electrical wiring available in that area and i'm not gonna rewire anything! I probably would benefit from learning, but i don't have the time or patience to learn how to do all that. I found these two lamps that I think may look nice.

exterior color choices update

Smoked Oyster is the newest color choice, the white used for primer was so jarring when painted side by side to Desert Dusk.

drought tolerant perennials

these are the plants i'm looking to add to my front yard. I want to make sure that they can survive in drought-like conditions, mostly because i'm not gonna have time to take care of foliage. I don't want to come home and see dying plants and feel remorse for not taking care of them.

Agastache

Coleus

Dasylirion

Germander

Jacaranda Tree

Kangaroo Paw

Lavender

Mexican Sage

Penstemon

Russian Sage

Salvia

Verbena
