master bath destruction

I spent all of saturday afternoon taking the bathrooms and tiles apart. I'm actually really proud of the end result, it was fun.

i spent saturday removing tile from both bathrooms at the house, but this post is really about bathroom #1.

can you believe there were not 1, 2 or 3 layers of linoleum, but 5. Yes, you read it right, 5! It was so disgusting!

we realized that the entire wall could not be removed and so we decided to go with a half wall which will help make the area feel open, but still separate the dining area from the living room.

The area you see here is what use to be the pantry and closet that leads to the hallway. I don't have a need for a pantry so i didn't see the purpose of that space. Although i had talked to the bf and my two cousins about removing the pantry and closet, my dad surprised me one day by asking the contractor to remove everything. i love how my dad and i are on the same page.
